Who would have bet on the vinyl disc when “Down To The Delta” was first released? Timo Gross himself remained faithful to his Braun PS 400 record player from the sixties until the mid-nineties, when the discs of his heroes were simply no longer released on vinyl. The smell, the feel, the crackle – this magic had disappeared since then. That’s why Gross decided to give his fans and himself a gift and release his first album as a “13th Anniversary Edition” in limited edition on vinyl. “Modern blues from Germany, with versatile guitar, played emotionally, varied, far from any clichés … By the way, the man also outed himself as a good singer, songwriter and producer.” With these words “Bluesnews” ennobled the disc as album of the month. The limited edition comes in 180 g vinyl in heavy cardboard on the market. Also included, a download code for the album and five bonus tracks.
Reviews: “His blues betrays a lot of gut feeling, each number with its own weight, with his perfect guitar playing coming through strongly. Of course, you have to jump in with the title track, ‘Down To The Delta,’ through ‘Don’t Mess Around’ to ‘Room To Breathe,’ this LP version is all around great.” (Good Times, December 2019 / January 2020)
